Our Plan
1. Implementation of the Associated General Contractors of America Diversity Plan
1a. The AGC has been at the forefront of diversity in the construction industry. They have provided a framework for general contractors to successfully achieve their diversity goals through the “Culture of Care” Initiative. Bogart Construction will work to implement this program to achieve our diversity goals.
2. Bogart’s Inclusion & Diversity Committee
2a. As part of the management team, this diversity committee will actively work to make sure Bogart Construction achieves its diversity and inclusion goals. The committee will continually identify ways in which Bogart can diversify.
3. Commitment to Vendor Diversity
3a. We will continue to track the diversity of all suppliers to quantify the number of diverse vendors on our projects to ensure we are hitting our diversity goals.
3b. As part of our subcontractor and vendor qualification process, they are asked to identify themselves as a diverse supplier. From that point, we are able to quickly identify and focus on the diverse subcontractors in our database to ensure they have a fair chance at the project.
3c. We currently have a program to assist minority businesses with payment plans to assist with cash flow.
4. Community Outreach
4a. Bogart will identify and partner with local vocational work programs to locate possible candidates for Bogart Construction, Inc. positions.
4b. We will utilize ConstructReach to identify candidates for company positions.
5. Continued Education
5a. Bogart will work to foster career advancement for all at Bogart Construction and will work to encourage our diverse staff to take part in these programs.
